The Women Behind The Vision

Dana Matthews has been a successful entrepreneur for over 10 years.  She was able take a "niche concept" in the large Beauty Industry and turn it into a thriving business model that can be duplicated through systems and training. Dana works with newly licensed Hair Stylists and provides them with a professional setting to learn the ins and outs of the industry while building a clientele. Ms. Matthews serves on the board of SheSteams, an organization focused on empowering young girls in the area of STEM education and programs. For the past 2 years, Dana has facilitated educational and informational forums for women in the area of Feminine Care.

Monifa Watson is a Community and Economic Development professional with over 20 years experience in Financial Literacy and Lending. She's been employed by several agencies such as: Habitat for Humanity, NYC, The Housing Initiative of North Fulton and Consumer Credit Counseling Service. She is a certified financial, credit and housing counselor. Monifa currently works as a Portfolio Manager for The National Development Council, where she services small business loans. Her community outreach efforts include serving as the Project Coordinator for The College Park Opportunity Zone, an initiative of The United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta and as the Coordinator of the ACE Diversity Community Capital Program which afforded her the opportunity to work with African American Entrepreneurs in efforts to obtain access to capital for their businesses. Monifa serves on the Executive Board of SheSteams, Inc. an organization whose focus is providing quality STEM education and activities to young ladies residing in Henry County, GA. Ms. Watson has a passion for educating and empowering the disenfranchised. She is also an inaugural member of Inspire Atlanta, where she helps bring awareness to and raise funds for Metro Atlanta Non Profits serving women and girls.

Mica's proven skill set led her to embark an endeavor As Chief Operating Officer of F.L.O.W. Industry, a new launch hair supplement company with her corporate position Mica was motivated her entrepreneurial business partners to exceed their personal best performance & goals while helping women & men alike, regain their confidence by beginning their healthy hair journey with amazing digestive & topical products

Kimberly Raimi of Serene Wellness and Beauty aka #thedetoxmomma. I am Wholistic Wellness Advocate, specializing in women's reproductive health and supporting toxic-free lifestyles.  I am an author of 3 book collaborations; "Women in MLM", "Multiple Streams of Income", and coming in August 2018 "Gems and Juice".  Service I provide are yoni steaming, ear candling, ion foot detox, detoxing back scrubs and detox sauna sessions and an aspiring Acupuncturist. I have practiced many of the services I now offer for several years which is how overcame infertility and now have my 2 beautiful children.

Shekina Beckham has twelve years of experience in the educational field.  Currently, Ms. Beckham serves as a School Effectiveness Specialist with the Georgia Department of Education.  She has served in this capacity for the last two years. Prior to this position, Ms. Beckham served as a special educator, curriculum specialist and instruction coach.  

Her varying roles have sharpened her ability to create, implement, monitor, and revise instructional and programmatic policies and procedures.  Additionally, they have allowed her to be a voice of the underserved and the under-resourced both in and out of the formalized educational setting.  Her passion for education is encapsulated in the mission and vision of the Lotus Connection where the focus is education to promote self-awareness, self-care, and healthy self-esteem.  

Ms. Beckham has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Master’s degree in Public Administration, Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.

Tynya Jones has 7 years of case management experience with the Department of Human Service – Division of Child Support Services. Previously, Ms. Jones has held positions within various government sectors in account management where she was responsible for leading such projects as loan subrogation, administration wage garnishment, reinstatement of professional licenses, and coordinator of the loan rehabilitation program.

Ms. Jones served as Board Chair of She STEAMS Inc. for 2 years whose focus was to enrich, engage and empower young girls in STEM. She is a recent graduate of the United Way of Greater Atlanta Volunteer Improvement Program which provides board training to its participants. She was appointed to the Henry County of Aging Services as a board of director by Commissioner Dee Clemmons in 2017. She’s currently a committee member and secretary of the Arts & Leisure Committee with One Henry. She’s also the administrative group leader of the Arts & Leisure Committee.

Ms. Jones holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Georgia Perimeter College and is currently working on obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies with the goal of attending law school. Her passion is law, policy, and ethics.
